Marta Botas was born in 1977, Gijón (Asturias). She studied Graphic Design at the Istituto Europeo di Design (Madrid) and graduated in 2000. After leaving college she spent eight years at La Cle, a graphic design and communication company co-founded with Elisa Beotas and Hélène Bergaz.
In 2008 she set up her own studio where she works on graphic design and illustration projects for clients such as Planeta, El País, Credit Suisse, Cosmopolitan, La Fábrica, Le Cool, Luis Piedrahita, etc. She has also taught master’s and degree courses at IED since 2002.
She is particularly interested in local communities and sees Spain as a nexus. For this reason she started the website www.vuelvausted.com, a space for people who respect the environment and love their work/life, small shops and stores, nice restaurants and great food. In addition, in 2007 she co-founded with Germán R. Blanco, Rara de Raro, a company that drives wine and gastronomy projects.
